Approach

My approach to psychotherapy is collaborative, flexible, and dynamic. I tailor our sessions to fit your specific situation and needs. At the start of therapy we will discuss your treatment goals, whether they be short or long-term. You may not be sure of your goals when we first meet, and that is okay too.

The pace and depth at which we progress will depend on what is most helpful and comfortable for you. I believe that a strong patient-therapist relationship and mutual trust are essential for you to feel safe discussing personal matters. Your questions and feedback are a crucial part of the process, as they guide the treatment I provide.

I draw from a broad range of psychological theories and evidence-based practices to provide the most compassionate care and effective results. My orientation integrates several therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic, interpersonal, humanistic, cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, and family systems. Interventions are affirmative and aimed at helping you feel more motivated, self-directed, and fulfilled. I see my role as that of a guide on your journey towards actualizing the life that you want.
